Spar with a Medical Jounin

Jakunen Kokoromi stepped into the small anteroom, looking around at the ninja gathered. This was a training facility set up by the village to help prepare genin for what it would be like to face down a much stronger opponent. The facility would set up a genin to face a Jounin, and the two would spar until one, usually the genin of course, gave up. It was required that every genin spar at least once, and as such it was usually crowded with genin waiting for hours until a Jounin would finally spar with them. Jaku had yet to use the facility, but knew that he would have to before he went into the Chunin exams. With a sigh, he signed up at the front desk and sat down to wait his turn. Luckily each Jounin would fight two or three genin in a row, so if Jaku was lucky the wait would not be too long...

Jaku paused halfway sitting down as a dark haired boy flew fast, smacking into the wall. Surprise flying across his face, Jaku turned to look at the large hole now in the wall, and the tall Jounin standing there. Jaku was too surprised by the sudden attack to notice the Jounin's asking for an additional boy, and watched with a grimace as a nearby Genin was chosen to spar with the ninja. Jaku sat back with a sigh, hoping that he would be chosen by a different Jounin. That one obviously enjoyed beating up the younger Genin, and wouldn't hold back in a quick fight. However, Jaku had only just settled back into a relaxed position again when the Genin from minutes before came flying out of the room, also unconcious. The vicious Jounin called for another genin, and Jaku looked around. The room was full of trembling genin, none of which seemed like they were going to volunteer. Jakunen stood up with a sigh, walking toward the sparring room. At least this way, if the battle turned into a quick massacre, then he would be able to leave early.

Stepping into the large room, Jaku hurried over to the one containing the crazy Jounin. Jaku paused for a moment to introduce himself.

"Hello. I'm Jakunen Kokoromi, Genin. Its nice to meet you...?"

Jaku added on the question inflection as he spoke, trying to learn the name of his opponent. Maybe Jaku had heard of him: regardless, at least he could stop referring to him as "the crazy Jounin" in his head.

Jaku was a little miffed at the Jounin's refusal to give a name. It was only common courtesy, and really who cared about ten seconds of their own time? Jaku stepped back, and looked the Jounin up and down. It was obvious that he was prepared to fight hand to hand, as the rules of the dojo stated. However, Jaku knew that that rule was seldom enforced, usually only by the opponent Jounin defeating the kid in moments as punishment. Still, the Jounin here would probably do that anyway, so there really wasn't much to lose. Although Jaku doubted he would have the time to activate one of his more obvious ninjutsu, which required at least a few handsigns, he should be able to activate the Bloodlust, which required only the most simply one handed sign.

Hopping back, Jaku quickly raised his hand to his face, his body flooding with strength. Jaku felt the familiar growing teeth in his mouth, the burning in his eyes. Jaku loved to fight this way, he felt so much... better than when he was simply fighting hand to hand on regular terms. And God knew he would need this if he wanted to last any time at all against the Jounin, who would probably defeat no matter what techniques Jaku used. Still, at least he might be able to avoid the utter humiliation of the Genin before him. With a quick lunge Jaku jumped into the ring, concentrating his power into his right hand. Blood spurted out as if from a vein, but quickly reformed into a dark red, very sharp kunai, which Jaku brought in a long arc, hoping to cut into the Jounin's face.

As Jaku lunged forward the Jounin brought his hand up, avoiding the Kunai to grab quickly onto Jaku's wrist. Although Jaku had managed to follow what was happening at the jounin defended with his heightened senses, he still had not had the speed to keep up with the Jounin's great speed. The Jounin would also know how Jaku's transformation had affected himself, so Jaku had lost the advantage of surprise. Still, at least he still had on arm free, which should be enough to allow him to loosen himself. Jaku concentrated, and blood spurted out of his free hand, resolving into a large spike jutting from his palm. Using the ninja's grip Jaku swung his arm around, bringing it down toward the Jounin's forearm. Jaku knew that there was no way the blow would actually hit his opponent: the Jounin was too fast for that. Instead the Jounin would be forced to let Jaku go, so Jaku could continue on the assault with both hands.

Jaku shifted as the Jounin pulled his arm toward his head, brining it right past. Jaku had only moments before he would stab into his own arm, and he knew that he would not be able to stop his arm's momentum. Thinking quickly, Jaku released the jutsu in his hand, causing the blood spike to turn back into a liquid, blood splashing harmlessly over his arm. Jaku wondered briefly what to do: his arm was still in the Jounin's grasp, yet he had not yet even used his other arm. His Kunai was useless as long as the Jounin's hand on his wrist prevented mobility. Jaku wished he could utilize other parts of his body in the blood jutsu besides his hands, but at this point it was all he had. Except...

Concentrating on the wrist held by the Jounin, Jaku activate one of his most basic abilities: to shed blood. Blood rapidly began pouring from the pores on his wrist, covering the area in the slick liquid. Jaku knew he had only moments before the blood clotted, so he brought his feet to the ground and yanked backward, utilizing the full strength of his Bloodlust transformation. If Jaku was lucky then the now slippery hand would be able to slip through the Jounin's grasp, freeing him to use both hands again.

Jaku pulled, and suddenly slipped. The Jounin had released his arm unexpectedly quick, and the momentum would cause Jaku to fall over backward. Instinctively calling back on his academy training, Jaku performed a quick backflip to get rid of the extra momentum he was carrying. As he landed again, he brought his hands up to his face. If he had calculated correctly, he had 30 pints of blood left to utilize, more than enough to start using some more draining jutsu. Jaku had realized that the Jounin was vastly superior in Taijutsu, despite Jaku's Bloodlust technique. There would be no way to defeat him there, and although Jaku knew the battle was pretty much completely one sided that was no reason not to try. The rules would not help him here, but once again Jaku saw little point in following them. He had already lasted longer than the other genin that had faced the man, so whatever he did beyond this point was extra anyway. Jaku smiled: why not give it his all? Quickly forming the triple handseal required, Jaku muttered.

"Bloody Bullets Jutsu"

Blood burst from his hand, rapidly shaped into the eight small marbles. Jaku swung his hand up, releasing the jutsu to zip across the arena. The ninja was rather close, and Jaku expected at least some of the jutsu to strike: the Jounin had not demonstrated the speed necessary to dodge the bullets, although he could have been holding back. Regardless, the bullets would do little beyond inflict pain. Jaku simply hoped it would cause the Jounin to show at least a little more respect.

Seeing the kid study Tenjin's form, he would realize that chakras were beginning to build. Just as he had noted mentally before, if the boy would go into ninjutsu, he would stop him. With the boy forming seals, Tenjin would also form three quick seals. Finishing a streak of three seals as quick as the boy had, he would lean slightly forward and release a torrent of water from his mouth. No muttering, no words. Just concentration of elementally recomposing chakras and releasing a high-powered blast of water like what you would find from a fireman's hose.

The strength of his attack would be more than enough, not only to knock the oncoming attack away, but also to knock this boy into the next room and through the wall. It was only his mistake that he decided to go play a ninjutsu war. As it were, Tenjin wasn't all that great at taijutsu. He was only as good as he was due to years of training and his field-medic training. But against the average Jounin, he was less than at par when it came to taijutsu. However, his ability to control chakra and staminas, as taught being a medic, were beyond that of the common call for any Jounin.

Jaku watched in mute horror as the Jounin rapidly released off hand signs faster than the eye could follow. Then as water burst from the Ninja's mouth, Jaku swore under his breath. He really, really hated water, more than most things. He couldn't swim at all, and Jaku avoided any amount of water that was larger than what would go into a jug. It was probably the fault of that damn scientist, trying to actually breed weaknesses into him! Then suddenly, just as the water hit his jutsu, Jaku's body flooded with strength and acted on its own, pushing power into Jaku's legs and tearing his body upward faster than Jaku could follow. Jaku watched in amazement as his own hands tore into the ceiling of the training room, holding Jaku to the ceiling.

Jaku realized it must have been the breeding, his body has instinctively moved beyond its own instincts to avoid the water. It had never happened to Jaku before: it was probably a result of having the Bloodlust activated. Although Jaku was grateful for it now, he would have to work to overcome it or it could prove a major hazard during battle. Still...

Jaku suddenly shouted as pain coursed through his hands. Suddenly he realized that his body obviously had not reinforced his own hands. Most of his finger bones were probably broken, and bloody was dripping from his hands. The entry into the ceiling had obviously torn them up brutally, and Jaku with a groan dropped to the ground, no longer concerned with the battle. He looked down at the mess of his hands, in shock. There was only the vauguest resemblance to normal human hands jutting from his wrists. There was no way Jaku could fight any longer.

Jaku moaned in pain on the ground, now trying to avert his eyes from his own hand. It felt like a fire was burning, especially in the left. Then he heard the Jounin approaching, and Jaku mentally shuddered. If the jounin attacked again, then it would simply be too much for Jaku. Surprisingly however, the jounin simply stood and stared for a few moments. Jaku knew that most Jounin underwent at least some medical training: enough to recognize certain types of wounds at least. Still, the amount vastly varied. The jounin might be able to bring a person back from the brink of death, or he might simply be thinking "Oh no, blood! Blood bad!". Still, when the Jounin asked for Jaku to give him his hand, Jaku gave him the benefit of the doubt and held it out without complaint. Jaku shuddered as the hand once again had a jolt of pain, but grimaced and held it still.

Jaku sat silently as the Jounin bound up his hand with a simply splint. Once the blood had been cleared away the hand looked much better: simple superficial wounds it seemed, beyond the break. Jaku looked down at his hands, which had begun to bleed again. With a small tsk noise, Jaku shook his head and concentrated for a moment, causing the bleeding to stop, and slowly seep back into the wound. It wouldn't be long before his hands healed completely and he could practice Taijutsu more: Jaku obviously needed it.

Jaku turned to listen as the Jounin made his speech before turning to leave. Jaku smiled in relief, and turned to leave also. The Jounin was right after all, the room was rather pathetic. Smiling at improving his skill, Jaku turned to follow the Jounin out the door and into the street.
