Testing Katsumi. Training field 27

A spiral of leaves spiralled around training field 27. In a spiral of leaves Makai appeared in the training field dusting leaves off his cloths. Sighing he looked about it had only been 2 minutes. Yawning he leaned back against a tree waiting for Katsumi to arrive so he could test her on her abilities. After her he would test his other student then his third. After that he would do a team exercise to see if they were worthy of being a genin team. If not back to the academy for them.

Katsumi ran up after spotting her sensei. "Hey Makai-sensei. What shall we start with?" She smiled brightly with such a confidence in herself that she thought she could do anything. "I need to get some jutsu under my belt so I can be the saviour my mother wanted me to be."

Makai stared at her with a nuetral exression, 'Who ever said we were training. I need to test you simply as that." he grabbed a scroll and bit his thumb drawing blood. he ran the b;lood over the scroll and in a puff of smoke apepared a wooden sword. he grabbed the sword twirling it, "Besides if you can't pass my tests then its back to the academy for you. Same goes for your other team-mates. This is the first of two tests."

Katsumi looked in awe. "WHAT?! Back to the academy?! But I just got out of there. I won't be sent back. I'll prove to you that I'm good enough to be a genin. Even if I have to teach myself everything." She glared intensely as a fire built inside her. "What do I need to do?" She looked to the sword on her back, wondering if she should pull it out.

Makai looked at her with a bored look. Sighing in annoyance he slowly settled into his sword stance the SHinpantouryuu known only to the Kasai clan. he had the tip of his blade facing downward , "Simple i want to see how much skill you have. So come at me with the intent to kill." he looked at her his dark grey eyes scannng her. He had his blade held tightly but not to tightly in his hands. No openings in his stance.

Katsumi sighed and began to concentrate. She looked around to see what her options were. Seeing little choice, she grabbed the sword from her back. She lined her sword so that it was in between her eyes. "Dad, I hope you are watching over me. Help me wield this sword please." She swung her sword downward, then pulled it to up to her side. She ran up, bringing her sword around in a full force swing, putting some of her chakra into it.

Makai watched her as she drew the sword on her back. His eyes narrowed as he predicted her movements easily. He danced around her easily avoiding the swing. He leapt right over her back flipping gaining distance between them. He crouched and kicked off speeding right towards her closing the distance in a blink of an eye, "Have to do better than that genin!" He swung his wooden sword in a downward arc.

She swung around quickly, bringing the sword in a defensive stance to protect against the downward swing. While keeping herself protected by the sword, she pulled out a kunai and chucked it at Makai's stomach. "I won't go down easily." She pulled out another kunai and swung it around to use as a dagger like blade.

Makai grinned as she blocked his swoing. it was asloppy swing anyway. He looked at she threw the kunai. he kicked off the ground using the force of her blade and his to push him up. His blade pushing down on hers to force it down. he swung up and right over her. Makai landed on the ground in a crouched position. He spun on his heels. His blade came whipping out towards her.

She smirked as she did a quick spin to knock the blade away with her duo of blades. She ran forward as she began to try a combo of swings and slashes to try and get at Makai. "Time for this to end." She grabbed what looked like a small bird. She threw it at the ground in front of Makai and began running away. She counted backwards from five as she ran, hearing the explosion at about one. The explosion engulfs about a three meter area. She kept her grip tight on her sword as she looked around.

Makai looked up at the bird and grinned as it exploded. he used the Kawarimi no jutsu switching himself with a log. The log was caught in the explosion bursting into splinters. makai was to the side. He looked at Katsumi, 'Nice try but not good enough. Bunshin no Jutsu (Clone Technique)!" Five clones appeared around him. Each looked identical to the original. All six charged Katsumi head on the original moving with his clones as they reached in. One clone lunged into the. A kunai knife flew through the clone and at Katsumi.

She smirked as she blocked the kunai with her sword. "Now for a bit of elimination." She grabbed an object that looked like a bear. "Time for a bigger boom." She threw the bear at the middle of the clones. When it reached about half a meter in front of the clone, Katsumi made a tiger hand sign, setting of the bear as it covered a six meter area. "I'm going to have to make more later." She smirked as she knew she was doing well.

Leaves spiralled around the area. Makai came flying out of the explosion. Sword raised in his hand. he came down upon Katsumi swinging his blade only for it to go right through her showing he was a clone. As the explosion cleared Makai was know where to be found., A voice was heard around here, 'Where am i? Hm? Behind you? To the side of you? Above you? in front of you? Beneath you? Where of where can i be." A pair of hands shot up from the ground beneath her, 'Im beneath you, Doton: Shinjuu Zanshu no Jutsu (Earth Release: Double Suicide Decapitation Technique)!" His aim was to grab her legs and pull her under ground till only her head as above the earth.

She concentrated quickly, trying to find him. As she felt the earth shake below her, she knew immediately what to do. She quickly jumped up, throwing the blade of her sword at Makai's palm, hoping for it to go through it. As she landed a little ways away, she grabbed a kunai and prepared herself. She ran upquickly, trying to grab the sword, while harming him.

Makai grinned at her efforts. The moment the blade hit him he burst into smoke revealing it was a log. makai was to the side dusting dirt off his cloths. He looked at her as she grabbed her sword. He yawned and grabbed his wooden blade, "Shinpantouryuu (Judgment Sword Style)!" makai closed the distance between them in a matter of seconds. he appeared in front of her bringing his sword down upon her in a Diagonal slash with his perfect style of sword combat. But he quickly dropped the blade and spun around. he grabbed his blade in a reverse grip, "Enraitomento (Enlightment)!" wooden sword came flying around if she tried to block with her sword he was using enough force to send it flying out of her hands.,

She could tell her strength wouldn't be enough here. Makai was going faster and harder then she could hope to match right now. She did a couple backflips hoping to dodge the wooden sword. "Damnit. Damnit!" She flared up in anger. She ran in putting all she had into every swing of the sword.

Makai looked up as she started to swing her sword with every thing she had. Now she was just swinging it around like a brainless barbarian. Sighing he raised his blade blocking hers. A vibration was sent from his blade from the spot he hit through her sword. The vibration would travel down to her hand causing her to drop her sword.

Her hand is hit with the vibrations as she lets go but tries to quickly grab with her other hand. She glared up at him. "I will not lose." She jumped back a few meters and concentrated. "I can't let my anger win." She sighed as she tried to get her nerve back up.

Maka watched as she caught the blade with her other hand and jumped back. He wanted to see how long she could keep her anger in check before it rose to the surface. he clutched his wooden sword looking at her studying her carefully. He stood up and placed his blade in the ground, 'Lets see how well you fair against this technique. Nuno shiru fuuin (Sealing Fabric seal)!" He started to do hand seals ending in the monkey. He grinned as strands of chakra began to rise from his body. The strands spiralled in the air turning into pieces of silk fabric. The fabric strands flew towards her rapidly increasing in size and numbers. The strands spiralled around her and flew at her body to wrap around her. the moment they did the fabric would lathc on and constrict holding her inplace and start sucking away her chakra. The moment they atatched a large 'X' made of fabric would form on the ground

Katsumi began swinging at the strings with her sword. "I won't go down easily. I will be the best there is. I will prove my mother right." She kept swirling around attacking the strings with a nice precision.

Daichi smiled as he watched Katsumi's every move. "She has progressed well. She has not even used that sword before and she is still using it with good precision." Daichi nodded watching her get constricted by the strings. "She has lost. She isn't strong enough alone to get out of those strings."

Makai stared with a bored look as the swung the sword attacking the strands of silk fabric. Makai looked at her watching her every move controling the fabric to dodge each swing, "You know all i;ve seen with that sword is you swing it around. Not style. JUst basic beginner moves."

Katsumi sighed and glared at Makai. "I've never used a sword before. I don't have a style. The fact that I've used it this well is complete luck." She kept dodging every move. "I can't win this fight alone. I need help. There is nothing more I can do without help." She sighed as she was trying to think of a way out of this.

Makai stared at her, "Then im afraid i can't let you wield that sword until you learn the basics." He threw the wooden sword away and reached up slowly drawing his muramasa from its sheath. The demon blade pulsed as it was drawn. He held the blade with one hand its black luster absorbing up light around it. He readied into his stance the SHinpantouryuu and readied himself.

Daichi appeared in front of Katsumi. "This fight ends now." He glared at Makai. "That is too far, Makai. What are you trying to do? Kill her?!" He sighed as he kept himself between Makai and Katsumi. "Katsumi, sheath your sword." Katsumi nodded and put her sword away. "Put the sword away before this ends badly, Makai.

Makai stared at Daichi as he appeared, "You Daichi you shouldn't interfer until you know what my objective was. Now you screwed the hole test up." He raise dhis sword to his wrist and dug the sharp edge in and drew blood. Blood trickled down his blade, 'You think i was actually doing to kill her. Your more of a fool then i thought." He sheathed his bloody sword and bandaged his wrist up. He turned and started to walk away, 'Since Daichi interfered with this you fail the first test." Makai formed the tiger seal, "If you wish for the test to be readministered be here tomorrow at 0800 hours sharp." Makai vanished in a spiral of leaves.
