First Meeting [Private]

Senju Tenjin

Today was just another warm day for the village. Warm skies with few clouds to mask the sunshine. There was not a single drop of rain remaining on the ground from the few days prior that had been rainy, so today made for perfect weather to have the gathering. All of the animals were out, birds chirping and even the people of the village were roaming the streets.

But, sitting out in the midst of the training field, one with three logs and a small pond next to the large open area that would be their meeting place, Tenjin would be waiting for his genin to arrive. While he was waiting, he would hold a cigarette in mouth, steadying the pain that was his addiction. It wasn't his only addiction, but it was his most prominent one. And as a smoker, he liked to do so quite commonly. It would be assumed that by the time this training was over, he'd probably get finished with smoking at least two more.

Taking a deep breath before every puff, he would follow by exhaling a large ring of smoke that went out in whatever direction he was looking, as if to frame what he was looking at. He, was wearing his common uniform. The green standard outfit that he commonly wore with a brown Happi coat that would be worn to keep him warm in cooler times. He also wore a green and white fedora that covered his sleepless eyes quite well.

He had yet to meet his Genin team, but he knew all too well of what he was getting himself into. Two jinchuuriki and an Uchiha. It was only right that the council put a medical ninja in charge of the team. Obviously, things were bound to go wrong and Tenjin was going to have to be there in order to make sure that nobody killed themselves. After all, being the top staff at the hospital, Tenjin was probably the best medic within the village. If anyone could stop these kids from killing one another, it was him.

However, he was known for his select and bias when it came to training. First off, he didn't like kids that were arrogant. He didn't like people that couldn't act on their own, but also didn't like people that couldn't accept help when they need it. And the one thing that would make this test harder than any other for these kids to pass, Tenjin was a racist. He hated the Uchiha. But seeing as one was going to be on his team, he'd let the kid's blood pass by with little notice and have to base these kid's passing and failing off of whether or not they were up to his standards.

He kinda hoped that they weren't. After all, having a team just meant more work for him.

Kida made his way towards the place that was to be used as the meeting grounds for his new Genin team; He had eagerly been waiting for an opportunity to finally meet his sensei at last. After meeting his last team members Kida’s presumption on how the group was going to be was not very good. After just meeting them once a while ago he knew that he would not be able to work with them, he simply thought of both of them as inferior and annoying. It would become a real problem when they would be required to work together as a team but Kida thought he could do anything himself, He was now hoping that the sensei would be some that he might possibly not hate as he made his way.

He arrived to see a person in the distance that he presumed was the sensei, Kida wearing his usual black garment atop a white t-shirt, he had white gloves that reached about his wrists, blue baggy jeans held up by a belt. Around his ankles above his ninja shoes he had weights though they didn’t look like it, there weren’t in fact so heavy that it would make Kida struggle to walk but were heavy enough to have given him a good workout, so far he had not removed them in a fight. His hair flowed down barely covering his left eye and upon his face was an evil like stare, menacing smile that Kida would use to intimidate people though he usually looked this way. Kida had good posture, his back was straight has he walked over to his sensei and his sword could be seen visible on his back even though it was only the broken hilt Kida had yet to fix and part of the bottom of his scabbard.

Kida stood there and glared at the man still with the smile on his face, he had his hands both on his waist as he looked at the person with a cigar before speaking to him. “Hello, you must be my new sensei...Allow me to introduce myself.” He said raising his hand and pointing to himself with his thumb, “I...am Kida Tousen...nice to meet you.” He said in a coercive voice as his garment hanging from around his neck flattered in the mild wind’s force.

[psst. It's a cigarette, not a cigar.]

Seeing the first kid walk into the open field, he would note that the boy had light hair and a noticeably high amount of chakra, he would presume that this was the Kyuubi jinchuuriki rather than the Uchiha. As the child would approach his form, all that needed to be said was spoken by the boy. A simple introduction that would tell Reichi that his suspicions were correct and he was sitting, face to face, with the Jinchuuriki of the most terrifying Biju there was.

"Kida..."

His voice did not tremble, he showed no signs of fear nor questioning. He knew that this boy was not to know, and in that would not give any strangeness that would be beyond the common arrogance of his own personality. He slowly stood up from the log and looked down on the boy as he towered over him.

"Seems that your teammates are going to be late."

With a sigh, he took the cigarette butt out of his mouth and dropped it to the ground. After doing so, his foot would quickly slide over it and stamp it into the dirt. Taking off his hat, he would then reveal the true nature of his face. Pale in complexion and with near-black bags under his eyes, he was deprived of any form of sleep. His cracked-red eyes would show the age of his form and with that the terror of things he had seen. For most, seeing this would be something like looking into the gates of hell. Not common, and even more frightening than facing one's worst fears.

"Since they'll be late, I'd like to get started without them. We'll test your abilities as a ninja first."

With that, the man would thrust forward and send out a devastating kick out to the boys side. If it would connect, the boy would probably break a few ribs and be sent flying across the field. But, his attack required his step be taken first. If the boy would read into it, he would hopefully dodge by stepping back before Reichi would strike.

Nyu dashed around chaotically, her hair was messed up; she wasn’t even dressed! She was going to be so late for this meeting that she was suppose to take part in. She threw on her normal ninja outfit, very little to be honest, but it was so she could feel the warmth of the sun, she liked it.

She leapt out of the two story window and onto the tile overhang that was above her front door. She stretched for a quick second, a lioness yawn, and she leapt into the air. She was already late, what a horrible impression to make on her first day. She was in a total panic as she leapt from rooftop to rooftop across the village; the trees of the training ground slowly peaked over the horizon as she neared the area.

She did a front flip onto the grassy plain that was the training ground, a few random Shinobi where around her practicing, and where startled when she made her appearance. Luckily very few people knew what the two tailed host looked like, so she rarely drew attention.

She gave a charming smile to one of the younger boys, whose eyes widened and he turned away scarlet. Never fails! Suddenly she remembered she had places to go. In a rush she dashed through the training grounds, she remembered the general vicinity the meeting was supposed to take place.

Nyu came over the crest of a hill, and right below her she saw Kida, she remembered him from earlier. She had arrived just in the nick of time, some strange man, no this man was just downright creepy. She could not see his face, but it was just something about him.

She saw his leg move and her heart stopped, and she dashed forward in fear and leapt into the air just as the man was about to kick Kida and attempted to tackle Kida to the ground to save him from being kicked. “KIDAAA!!!!” She screamed right before she would collide with the boy.I hope I am not too late! Oh no I am a horrible teammate!

Kida looked up at his sensei as he spoke; already Kida had a presumption of how his new sensei would be. It seemed he didn’t care about formalities since he didn’t introduce himself but maybe he probably thought that Kida would have already known, with one look into the person’s eyes Kida knew that he might be an interesting sensei to have. He seemed like the kind of guy who would waste time and Kida was right.

We’ll test your abilities first, he said.

Wasting no time in beginning, Kida saw him move slightly guessing that they were about to start fight. As soon as the first sign of trouble appeared Kida naturally had his hand on his sword and crouched down ready to jump out the way. As soon as Kida saw that his sensei was going for a kick he began to jump and leap into the air and as he did he began to unsheathe his sword. For a while it seemed that Kida was going to be fast enough to dodge until he felt a sudden nudge of force onto his legs right after he heard someone call his name, he felt the momentum make him spin in the air away from the sensei’s kick. Kida was momentarily spinning in the air before he was sent down smashing onto the ground on his back.

“Oof” Kida let out a quite sound as he landed a small distance away from his sensei. He hadn’t been sent up real far in the air back it was high enough to hurt a bit as he fell. Kida was down for long before weakly trying to get himself up and looking to see his other team-mate that he had met before on the floor aswell...It seemed that she had tackled him for no reason, according to Kida’s intuition. The first thoughts that went through Kida’s head were to just get out the sword and attack her but he fought his temptation and instead just asked her.

“What the hell do you think you are doing?” He asked with an almost angered voice as he stood up and looked down upon the young Genin. He had already unsheathed his sword and was holding it in his hands pointing it towards her; you could tell just from the expression on his face that he was very agitated by the girl who had tackled him yet he was still aware of the sensei just in case he tried to attack again.

Swinging his leg up, he would attempt to take the boy out in his entirety. A single attack that would have broken him. But the boy was quick and had jumped back before the kick had started. Still, that wasn't what made Reichi stop. His leg would still itself in the air just before passing where Kida had just been. Halted as if to keep from falling into a trap. But there was no trap.

Instead, what he would see is the boy getting tackled to the ground by another young kunoichi. Slowly lowering his foot to the ground, he would put his hands to his waist and watch the scene commence. There was obviously something going on between these two, and now it was just up to them to figure things out. After all, there was training to be done.

Eying the girl up and down, Reichi would study her form and realize that the description matched to a tee. Everything that was in the file wad dead on. And as such, this girl was not just a kunoichi, she was the other Jinchuuriki. And with this knowledge rushing through his head, Reichi would let out a sigh and wait for these two to finish their exchange before continuing. Hopefully, it would move quickly so that their training could commence.
